Ornithologists discovered in the Ecuadorian highlands, a new species of Hummingbird.
The discoverer was a member of the Ecuadorian National biodiversity Institute, the ornithologist Francisco Sornoza Molina. For the first time he noticed the unusual birds in the South-Western part of the Andes in the beginning of last year. Scientists have named a new species of birds Oreotrochilus cyanolaemus, which means “sinegora mountain star”.
