As regular CFZ-watchers will know, for some time Corinna has been doing a column for Animals & Men and a regular segment on On The Track... particularly about out-of-place birds and rare vagrants. There seem to be more and more bird stories from all over the world hitting the news these days so, to make room for them all - and to give them all equal and worthy coverage - she has set up this new blog to cover all things feathery and Fortean.

Norfolk residents given opportunity to experience bird therapy

PUBLISHED: 14:25 20 February 2018 | UPDATED: 14:25 20 February 2018

People in mid-Norfolk will have the opportunity to learn benefits of bird watching during an upcoming bird therapy walk.

The walk will take place on March 4 in Lyng and it will be hosted by Joe Harkness, a qualified teacher who encourages people experiencing mental health difficulties to explore the countryside.

Bird therapy uses birdwatching and the outdoors to help reduce the symptoms of mental problems such as anxiety and depression.
