There seem to be more and more bird stories from all over the world hitting the news these days so, to make room for them all - and to give them all equal and worthy coverage - she has set up this new blog to cover all things feathery and Fortean.

Avian flu variant stalks Egypt

A new study tracks the spread of an H5N1 variant in Egypt -- a country recently identified as a major epicenter for the virus. In results researchers track the spread of H5N1 cases using a technique known as phylogeography.
