As regular CFZ-watchers will know, for some time Corinna has been doing a column for Animals & Men and a regular segment on On The Track... particularly about out-of-place birds and rare vagrants. There seem to be more and more bird stories from all over the world hitting the news these days so, to make room for them all - and to give them all equal and worthy coverage - she has set up this new blog to cover all things feathery and Fortean.

New bird of prey attraction opens

5:35pm Sunday 6th April 2014 in News
A BIRDS of prey visitor attraction, run by a husband and wife team, has opened to visitors.

Walworth Castle Birds of Prey, near Darlington, is set in eight acres of woodland.

Married couple Tori Goodall and David Toms are behind the attraction, which features more than 20 birds.

A kestrel, peregrine falcon, hawks and owls are among the attractions.

Ms Goodall said: “We wanted to build a home for the birds in a natural setting, to promote the conservation of these wonderful birds and help educate people about these birds of prey.
