There seem to be more and more bird stories from all over the world hitting the news these days so, to make room for them all - and to give them all equal and worthy coverage - she has set up this new blog to cover all things feathery and Fortean.

Flock of birds fall dead from the sky near Norman

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Birds were seen falling dead out of the sky in Norman, alarming some residents, though state wildlife officials say there's no cause for concern.

According to Oklahoma City television station KWTV (http://bit.ly/1gtCRuw ), a homeowner near Highway 9 and Interstate 35 found more than a dozen birds in her yard Thursday.
