FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Girlguiding Rustle,
Bustle and Squeak for the RSPB!
Girlguiding South West England has
raised nearly £17,000 for the RSPB over the last 18 months by taking part in an
exciting new partnership project.
The two organisations worked together
on Rustle, Bustle and Squeak, a special programme where badges are
awarded to girlguides for getting involved in a range of activities all about
helping wildlife and the RSPB.
Over 20,000 girls from the region have
taken part and helped give nature a home. Many have also been able to visit and
have lots of fun on RSPB reserves.
Nikki Marks, Project Manager for the
RSPB in the South West said; “We’re delighted with how successful this
partnership has been. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved at
Girlguiding South West England for making Rustle, Bustle and Squeak so
popular and for helping to raise this fantastic amount of
money.
“As well as buying badges and
attending activities, girls of all ages have been bustling around fundraising
for the RSPB in lots of different ways, from sponsored “wiggle walks” to
colouring competitions. Their support will help us to continue our vital work in
the region”.
