As regular CFZ-watchers will know, for some time Corinna has been doing a column for Animals & Men and a regular segment on On The Track... particularly about out-of-place birds and rare vagrants. There seem to be more and more bird stories from all over the world hitting the news these days so, to make room for them all - and to give them all equal and worthy coverage - she has set up this new blog to cover all things feathery and Fortean.

Euan Wright died photographing building he helped design

The Dundee architect and musician slipped while photographing the observation shelter built for nature lovers at the Fowlsheugh nature reserve clifftop, near Stonehaven, on Saturday.

His body was found on Tuesday afternoon and members of his family in Perth formally identified him on Wednesday.

Euan's older brother Neil gave a brief statement on behalf of his parents David and Mary and other brother Alan.

He said: "In a tragic accident, Euan fell to his death while taking photographs at Fowlsheugh nature reserve at Stonehaven on Saturday.

"Euan's friends and family are devastated by the tragic death. A service will be announced at a later date."
