As regular CFZ-watchers will know, for some time Corinna has been doing a column for Animals & Men and a regular segment on On The Track... particularly about out-of-place birds and rare vagrants. There seem to be more and more bird stories from all over the world hitting the news these days so, to make room for them all - and to give them all equal and worthy coverage - she has set up this new blog to cover all things feathery and Fortean.

Mid October 2014 we have you reported, that a special breeding success we succeeded. After nine years of a female Kagu chick is hatched the first time again. And at such a spectacular breeding success, you want to know definitely what has happened because our Kagu Lady. She is alive and well and has done very well. Now, a fellow in addition to our young females is indented. The sniffing dwell the two Kagus in two separate, but nearby next to each other aviaries. In the series of images you can see well, as our female Kagu has developed.
